i put the dvd into my computer but it wont play so i go to my computer but it shows the drive being leave. It just started doing this.

Sounds approaching the driver or playing program is corrupted. remove the hardware from the Control Panel, delete the DVD program and reinstall both. If it still won't work you may have other communications problems or inevitability a replacement unit.
Do you hold a DVD drive and do you have a DVD viewing program. If you don't later you need these first.

OK first , did the drive USED to play dvd at first or not , if yes , consequently it could be that the lens on the drive are dirty or the drive is damage.
