600W power supply (antec if you can)

Graphics card (7900 GT(X) would collect your needs from the games you mention, the 8800GTX would chomp through half your budget)

socket 775 motherboard (newest 680i chipset or something)

2GB DDR2 memory (matching the FSB of the processor)

Hard disk (serial ATA)

DVD writer drive

A nouns card (sound blaster X-Fi is a good price)

A baggage (maybe a cheaper one so you can invest more in the rest)

A 5ms viewsonic 19" monitor (if you inevitability one)



Balance the cost and make a compromise between price and actions and you should be able to build a see *** system for $1500. If you can't be bothered to build one then buy an XPS and bring the extended warranty cos they suck!

I currently using agp 8x BFG tech Geforce FX 6800 Ultra OC 256 MB. Since I'm kinda low on budget, I would approaching to get a different vga card that will make this PC ultimate for about a year or two earlier finally upgrade to the PCI-e board. I saw the Radeon x1950pro 512 mb AGP 8x selling out there, but there's also an issue beside size of card, heat, and power supply.



Also, between Radeon x1950pro and Geforce 7800 GS, which one would be a better choice to pick or is nearby a better agp 8x card out there as economically? Oh my budget is around $300. Please help me out.

Well sitting here on my Dell laptop lol.... Ummm I honestly LOVE it!! I haven't had any problems...I tight I got a spyware virus one time but that wasnt the computer's show disapproval. Ummmmm I got it freshly the way I want it w/ a green frontage plate and perfect strong drive...and I've had it for almost 2 years now and it's still going strong :)
Their desktops are OK I hold had my P4 for around 3 years and I own not had any problems beside it. My mother in directive also has have hers for around 5 years, she is still running Windows 98 no less and hers still runs strong. I meditate they are a good computer for the money. There laptops are a different story. I use one for work and I own gone through about 3 of them surrounded by the last year due to heat/overheating problems. You can literally fry an egg on the bottom of my laptop when it is running.

what's my XW8000 worth?

I'm thinking of selling my HP XW8000 workstation but don't know what it's worth. It's get dual 3.02 Xeon processors, 4 gigs of RAM, and a combined total of about 600 gigs of unyielding drive storage. It's a monster machine that be originally purchased for over $5K (closer to $10K to be honest). Who has a guess at what it's worth?

the cpu's could turn for $250 each, after wow ecc ram thats expensive, I would speak at least $800 for those.



Then I dunno what used frozen drives are worth.

I don't give rebate for them because you never know how much longer they will last. but 600GB and I'm assuming SCSI, thats a couple distinguished new.



And the rest of the price depends what OS its running.
