What works better beside what. ATI, NVIDIA, INTEL, AMD?

I know that Amd have taken ati but i still have the depression that it works better with nvidia cards especially when an nforce 3 or 4 chip is present.

I own always used AMD and Nvidia - poetry contained by motion. Owned one ATI card, my mobo refused to work next to it.
I like INTEL near NVIDIA...realiable.

amd is great, nvidia owns, the combinations can't go wrong, i'm using a amd/nvidia but previously have a intel/ati, i can verify the speed differeces
Depends on the motherboard manufacturer. Some motherboard manufacturer lean towards a particular type of daughter card. Call it a form of bias if you resembling, there are mobos made by the video card manufacturer as well so you know what caring of daughter card they prefer and using a different brand would probably work it most likely would not as economically as same brand of card.
