What would be a righteous system for a 320 mb 8800 gts? I want to build a modern computer but can't agree on what else..

I want to build a strange computer but I can't decide what would be a flawless cpu and mobo with a 8800 gts and a see of ram. I can't find a single computer beside a 320 mb 8800 gts in it to use as a template. I want a budget gaming computer necessarily. Looking for a mobo and cpu that won't make the video information bottleneck.

Depends what CPU brand/socket you want. I cant give you the serve you need since you didnt grant a budget, what you need, and what games you play.

I don't dream up you need a 8800GTS to be honest.. a 7950 would be fine.

Lets vote you go beside AMD's AM2 setup..

-AMD Athlon X2 5200+ ($220)

-Biostar AM2 NVIDIA nForce4 Ultra ($64)

-Evga 8800GTS ($279 w/ rebate)

-HIPER 580watt PSU ($90 w/ rebate)

-Corsair XMS 1gig (512x2) ($110)

TOTAL: $763 with rebate.

***If you get the 7950 from Evga to be exact $264(249 w/ rebate) and if you drop down to some $74 Corsair DDR2 memory.. the Total will be $697 with rebate.

You'll still need a cd drive and a valise. ~$20 for a drive and anywhere from $40-$100 on a case.
I would progress with zilch less than a dual core. I hold seen mobo/cpu combinations on mart at Fry's for $179.
