Maximumpc, their just released current issue have an article on building a DX10 gaming machine. They kept the budget to $1500, so they skipped on a few items close to a sound card, but they do regular features on building pc's both surrounded by print and online. Their website is below, and if you go to the newsstand and pick up their hottest issue, it will show you how to build a gaming rig.
